Well, happy holidays everyone! Christmas is almost here and I just wanted to wish everyone the best on their holiday break!
I've also graduated (yippee). To tell you the truth, I was really worried about passing my classes this semester. I felt like I had been really slacking off and with work and social spheres constantly meshing together, I felt like I wasn't getting my best work in for my classes.
I even registered for my Linguistics class for Spring because I was worried that I wouldn't make the C I needed to get the class and graduate. That being said, I checked my grades when I went down to my mom's office the other day, got online, and saw...
ENGL 4250 - A
ENGL 4160 - A
ENGL 3360 - A
LING 3060 - B
PHYS 1050 - A
PHYS 1051 - B
How sweet is that for my last semester as an undergraduate? I only got a B in PHYS 1051 because I was a dumbass and forgot about a lab so I missed out on the grade. Otherwise, I'm totally happy about these grades my last semester (mostly because it raised my overall GPA to 3.45 and my English GPA to 3.6). I already have three of my professors lined up to do recommendation letters for graduate school, so by Fall of 2005 I should be a sexy, swingin' English graduate student! Not at UNT though - I love my teachers, but I don't want a Master's/PhD from there.
Anyway, I'm happy right now. :) I think there was some planetary alignment or something because work, school, friends, and romance all seemed to perfectly fall into the best of places in life. So...thanks guys and gals, and Merry Christmas!
Prospero ano y felicidad!
