I took in a stray cat that my boss was feeding at her home in GR and we thought she wasn't pregnant (boss lady was not going to push a pregnant cat on me) but I took her to the vet today and prior to that, she has been getting fat and with love handles in the past couple days. Also once I started feeding her and she gained weight she looked older ( Read more... )

My parents' cat just had to be put to sleep... they're not ready for a new one yet... but in a couple of months, who knows?

What is it with you and pregnant cats anyway? Heh.

Oh no, I didn't think Buttercup was that old, did he get sick?

And yes, since they're still cookin' maybe by the time they are born and weaned your parents might be ready to have a new addition to the family.

Oops, sorry. The Buttercup was a typo, I swear! I even thought for a moment of his name and remembered because of his fur.

That's so sad for your parents, I hope they are doing well.

I want a kitten. ^^* Don't know if the place I will move into in SF will allow for a cat, and I am not sure I will be able to take care of one financially, but after Ryan and Sprocket move out, there will be no more kitty and I will be sad! T-T Maybe Russ will get a kitten when he moves to SF and I can love on that.

Maybe she can mail it to you! I'm sure a meowing envelope would shock the hell out of some postal workers. Which is probably just what they need.

It'd be nice to have someone to blame my shedding on. wixmasterd June 7 2008, 03:10:43 UTC
Kind of a weird coincidence. I was thinking about getting a cat, and my lease is up in two months. There are additional variables, though, like me not knowing where I'm living next year and not currently having a car that's being nice to me, so I'd have to get back to you.

I'll post a birth announcement and stuff in here so just watch for those. I have a couple younger people considering whether they want/can afford to take care of a pet so I'll add you to that list. ^^

Sounds peachy. Just don't hold one for me. I mean, you can HOLD one. They're so cute and cuddley, after all. Just, you know. Not for me.
