In Greek mythology a Cyclops, or Kyklops (Greek Κύκλωψ), is a member of a primordial race of giants, each with a single eye in the middle of his forehead. The plural is Cyclopes or Kyklopes (Greek Κύκλωπες). The name means "wheel-eyed".
