So summer means I don't post very often at all. But I still want to keep this guy going. It's always nice to hear what's going on with people even if it's nothing, so you know. whatever.
So I guess the main noteworthy things would be first my Maine trip two weekends ago. Dana's Thursday night is just the funniest thing ever. Lap. Dance. For. Real. And when I was there we went to Dana' final (ex) troupe show and we were inappropriate. And I do always enjoy watching dancing, even if it's not the most amazing thing ever. And we had two fires. Maine fires are just the best. It doesn't get much better than a huge fire in the woods, roasting wieners and marshmallows, sipping a cold one with cool kids. And we got Lost Gull Lobster which is amazing. And went to Freeport for a bit. I wanna do a big Freeport shopping spree once I get paid. And oh, we also went to Old Orchard Beach late at night. A good solid weekend. Relaxing etc. I just feel bad invading the respit house all the time. Even though it's not actually all the time. The Ryersons just always buy me dinners, etc. and I feel bad. They're too kind. And I love my Dain and the babies of course.
And the other thing is work. I did about 3 weeks of pre-camp office work and made mad cash money millionaire. I just cannot wait until I get paid in a week and a half. And then camp officially started Monday. In addition to working with Katie, we working with Alissa's younger sister, Lauren. Alissa of course has always made her out to seem like a stupid annoying ditz (sisterly love), but so far I'm really enjoying our team. She seems to think I'm funny, and she's a good counselor, etc. So you know, I like her. I love my co-workers in general. I know I need to get a psych related job next summer (plus after 6 summers it'll be time to move on) but it's just a damn good way to make money for the summer. So in addition to it being awesome working with Katie and Lauren, we seem to have a really good group. Although, based on some of their parents who came to the open house Sunday I expected some crazies. But there are no problem children, they all get along, and generally listen and do what they're supposed. And we got a bunch of cuticles. The only "bad" thing is that there isn't anyone immediately standing out as being my favs (those are usually the quirky funny ones). But at least my old favs are back: Sarah and Sinclaire from last year, the crazy and awesome team of Charlotte and Rachel from two years ago, and of course my ultimate girl, Sara. I actually have her sister this year. They're not the same, but I do like her a lot. Oh and, Jake's working there, which is fun. So yeah, this summer looks like it'll be fun and go well. Although, it's only been 2 days and I'm pretty tired. bleh.
Oh and ps, Derek moved to Nashville a few weeks ago to work on this music project thing that i don't feel like explaining. Guess he's not exactly "happy" but that's just how it is when you're depressed and have social anxiety and won't get help. But basically whenever I visit, Dollywood.
