The 100s

This is a series of very short drabbles (100 words as suggested in the title of the entry) written a long time ago, for no special reason. Anyways, since i've got nothing to post and i'm wandering around in my past archives on my computer, I decided to post them, or at least, two of them. The scenes are totally different one from another, and so is the other ones. There is no relation between the drabbles unless I say so.

Anway, here they go, enjoy ^^ (even if i doubt anyone will read this haha)

“Don't cry for me, love” she said, smiling weakly yet tenderly as her soft hand caressed my cheek.

Closing my eyes, I bitted on my lip, trying to hold my tears back yet knowing I wasn’t to stand it any longer. She was fading away, slipping away from my grasp so far away from me and it was killing me.

She was dying, and so was I, except that I was still going to remain in this life after her loss. It wasn’t fair.

"Don’t go” My voice was barely a trembling whisper. “Please”

And then, her hand left mine…

~~*~~

Her voice quivered as she suddenly stopped yelling. She was crying, but I could see that she wasn’t fully aware of this fact. It broke my heart to pieces to she her like that…so shattered, lost, helpless.

“I-I’m sorry”

My arms wrapped her shaking body as I took her in my embrace. I wanted to stop the pain; I wanted to erase whatever made her feel the need to scream at me without a reason, for I loved her, more than anything else in the world.

“Marry me”

The crying ceased right away.

“What did you say?”

“Marry me, Anna”

“…Yes”.
