Crap. I should be able to go home in 30 minutes, but instead I will be at work for another HOUR and 30 minutes. Grrr. It's my own fault. I was really late to work almost everyday last week and yesterday too. We get paid bi-weekly so I have two weeks to work 80 hours, so this week I am trying to make up the 3 hours or so that I am behind because of last week.

I was too tired and lazy yesterday to post about my long weekend so I guess I will do that now, since I have plenty of time to waste....

Friday night I finally planted flowers in the new bed. I'm anxious to see if they grow!

Saturday I did some more yard work in the morning & early afternoon, Cory came home from Poughkeepsie sometime later in the afternoon. It was a cold-ish windy day and I think all of the weeds in the yard were making me sick again, so I took some Benadryl, which of course made me super sleepy. Cory and I just lounged around in bed for a while, got some Chinese food for dinner and watched LoTR: Return of the King.

Sunday we did some more yard work and then I went shopping with my sister, her friend and my mom. I ended up spending some money on myself. Yay! I bought 2 new shirts, a bra (I actually found a cheap one that fit me at Target), and a pair of jeans which I, being the moron that I am, didn't try on in the store. Of course the jeans barely fit me. Most people would have just returned them and bought a size bigger, but no, not me, instead I decided that I'm going to torture myself by wearing these tight ass pants until I lose some weight and they fit comfortably. That's a good weight loss plan, right? ;) So, until I magically shed those pounds I will be doing the ~shimmy, shake, squeeze, lay down on the bed to button the pants jig~ Oh yeah!

On Sunday night at around 9:30 Cory & I decided to go to the movies to see The Day After Tomorrow. It was, visually, a great movie, but if judging it on the script, well, it sucked.

I hope Kara doesn't mind, but I will quote her review of the movie because I think she summed it up perfectly..

"The special effects are gorgeous, the plot is cheese. Go for the special effects, stay for the special effects. Don't stay if you're looking for a deep plot or a truly engrossing story-line.

Seriously though, I found the movie very superficially enjoyable. It was yummy to look at, and quite predictable. For example, the wolves. Don't ask- you'll know what to expect if you go to see the movie. Yeah, the wolves were pretty predictable."

On Monday we went to Cory's parents for a barbecue. We told them we would bring chicken with us to grill, because that way I could boil it first, his parents never boil the chicken before putting it on the grill and then end up serving me uncooked half-pink chicken. Gak!!! So, we brought yummy boneless chicken that was thoroughly boiled before we threw it on the grill at their house. The chicken was the highlight of the day I think.
