Remembering...
Wow, change.
Getting a postcard from Shayna in Europe for the summer, catching up with Elaine for the first time in months, listening to Taking Back Sunday, working retail clothing, running into Marissa in the Albertson's by my parents house, running into Shani's boyfriend at the Racetrack on Legacy, all this and more has recently reminded me of past experiences and relationships, old ones, new ones, and how things have changed drastically. Maybe this is something that lingers in the back of my mind too much, but recently it seems like i have been forced to remember. Change is inevitable, beautiful at times, tragic at others. I've had control over some of these changes, and some i have not. I've learned so much in the last year, and I myself have changed alot from that acquired knowledge.
It's incredible (and inspiring) how a thought to check out the allen mall for a job when out on the hunt, a random girl that just happens to sit next to you in your 11th grade English class, randomly getting paired with a girl u thought cute in your 12th grade Theater class for a skit, a decision to leave catholic school and return to public schooling when given the opportunity, and other seemingly minor choices/events can alter your life dramatically. I still havent decided if reflecting on such things is something that should be done or not.
This all may sound like rhetoric, i'm not absolutely sure if it isnt just that, but it sure doesn't feel like it. Everything happens for a reason, embrace what change brings with the utmost positivity, cheers.
