Finally we got some information back about what is wrong with our cat, Pickle.
For the last month at least she's been showing signs of being in heat, meowing loudly, rubbing up against furniture, and just being a typical horny kitty. Considering she is spayed, she shouldn't be suffering these symptoms. So the test results came back stating that she has an E.Coli bacterial infection in her girlie parts (poor kitty), but certain medicine will solve that problem.
However, the heat symptoms will remain. I'm not exactly keen on living with a cat for probably another ten years who is persistently in heat. She pees all over the carpet and it stinks. She attacks anyone who tries to pet her, and she's been having a freaky love affair with the coffee table which needs to stop immediately. I cant live that way. Also, it's very stressing on her as a little kitty to have to be in persistant heat. So the doctor has prescribed that we keep Pickle on valium probably for the rest of her life. I dont know whether to be happy for her or sad, but I am desperate to do anything to keep her from behaving so badly. She's been a very bad cat beyond what is normal for a bad cat, so if valium does the trick, then so be it.
We gave her a pill a few hours ago, and she immediately calmed down and passed out under the coffee table. Good kitty.
