the day of silence

the Day of Silence is April 13th, which is pretty soon. for those of you who haven't heard of it yet, this is a pretty helpful site. basically, it involves high school students taking a vow of silence to protest lgbt (lesbian/gay/bi/transgender) bias. apparently it's been pretty successful, but i think it could definitely still use a lot more help. if anyone reading this hasn't passed on the word yet, i suggest you do so.

and to note, even if you don't approve of the lgbt lifestyle it doesn't mean you shouldn't be part of a support group for individuals who partake in one. many such individuals (especially in school, where they have usually just recently 'come out of the closet') are really still very frightened and confused, and it really doesn't help when so many people send them messages of hate, whether verbally or physically.

just to show that you don't approve of such bias, whether you're lgbt or not, whether you think anyone who is will go to hell or not, and whether you know anyone who is lgbt or not, everyone should definitely at least put some serious thought into doing something on Apr 13th, even if it's just discussing with someone about the injustices of hatred.

spread the word, please
