LOLF! I'm so diggin' this section of your review. I agree with just about everything, though I'm wondering about the biting, mmmmmmmmm.

Yeah, so you DID mention the leather, and there is a scene in a movie I saw many moons ago, can't remember? think it might have been Waiting to Exhale, **sistah kicks her lameass bf out, yells at him from the balcony of her apartment building** "get out and take your lazy, stinkin' leather-wearin'-in-the-summertime ass back to 'ya mamma's house, and don't you ever bring it back here again!" So yeah, leather, mmmmmmmmmm, might be okay fall/winter, but then we must remember that only V wears his leathers ALL THE TIME and even Z has ripstop nylons to train in.

One of the things that kinda got on my nerves was the incessant clothes-horse name dropping, as if this were as important to the brothers as say, .... the daggers and throwing stars.

2-days! With the right person this would be a deal-maker, with the wrong person it would be hell on earth!

Dialog sometimes good, sometimes not, but I personally could roll with it, because the plot was plausible and kept you interested and I think we're meant to LOL during reading time.

Actually I'm thinking the timeline was about a month or so, but once Beth gets taken to Darius' house things start to happen at an excelerated pace which does indeed compress time, and sometimes IS just like that.

Overall, I really liked this book and I LIKED the next two as well, but I L O V E D Butch's and V's except for the ending!

I'll be back (just like the govenator)

Bitch, er Butch (don't tell him I called him that! LOL!) with the name dropping did get a little tiresome as the books go on.

I half expected him to start showing up at Fashion Week in NY. It was cracking me up how he was all tallying the price of his wardrobe.

Gucci Loafers
Ferragamo Loafers
Hugo Boss suit
Armani hankies

Yes, we GET it! You got a Neiman's charge, now get over yourself!!

LOL.

Imma have to dig out my copy of DL again just so I can snark on some other dialogue, but it has gotten to the point that I like the dialogue best of all because they are constantly saying something that makes me say "NO WAY!" LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Especially Zsadist. The stuff he says is funny as hell, but he never means it to be.

That's just brilliant.

After I finish the other reviews, I may do a "First 5 books critical analysis" breaking down the whole dialogue thing...'cause I'm a BDB geek...and clearly have no life.
