You are so incredibly sweet to say that. Thank you very much!

Unfortunately, my doc feels I would do well to lose a few, and I know he's right. Extra weight intensifies the problem, although there are plenty of people without hypertension who are much heavier than I. I guess I'm just lucky. :-/

My problem isn't exercising, it's exercising consistently. I have a treadmill in my basement, yet I can't say that I've gotten my money's worth out of it.

And I am by no means a foodie, but there are some things that I really, really like to eat that aren't necessarily good for me. I can avoid them for a while, but I always seem to come running back for a taste eventually. Namely things like pop, potato chips, bacon, hamburgers, french fries, etc.

But the way I see it, this doesn't have to be the end of food for me. I can have those things occasionally. I just need to recognize that it's a slippery slope with those foods and on the days that I indulge I may have a spike in blood pressure or water retention...you know all that fun kinda stuff. I just have to know that I can only have those things once in a while and/or when my blood pressure stabilizes.

I could be worse. I'm just happy that I have a great support system and people to encourage me. I'll keep you posted on my health and weight issues. And by the way...I don't see where you need to lose 20 lbs. You look thin to me! (And pretty too! :-)
