Sunshine and Sillyness

Feb 23, 2005 04:15

As much as I’ve enjoyed the flame war that ensued after my last post, I’ve decided to move on and update (Though if there is anything still left to be said regarding it, have at it). I only hope I can come up with something even more controversial in the future, because I thrive on things like that. It’s nice to believe sometimes that I live in a world where it’s all sunshine and bunnies, but I love even more the adrenaline rush of knowing that someone wants to challenge my opinions. Especially people who can’t grasp my humor, they are great. The problem is, of course, finding someone who truly has a stimulating argument.

Just so we’re clear here, I tend to be dry and satirical in my humor. Life is funny, human nature is funny. I may be harsh, but who isn’t? Those who decide they are putting me in my place by saying such things as “back the off” are failing miserably. They are only proving that they are as blameless as I am. The problem with many people is that they need to lighten up. Just because I may feel moved to write about some views of human behavior doesn’t mean that I'm making a personal attack.

[Before I continue...

A personal attack would be something like… “Geez, ZEBIDIAH is such a little dork butt” or “GOMER is so sexually promiscuous, I wouldn’t be surprised if she had herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis which she probably contracted through sexual intercourse or other intimate sexual contact with dozens of members of the opposite sex, including every member that shady fraternity that MORTON is in. She’s such a floozy!!”

Thank you, that will be all for now.
