Been reading a book on type and although I'm sure I'm on the F side of the scale I'm aware there are many NXs here. I came across a suggestion to help people who are tossing up between NF and NT. The NF temperment is the identity seeker and the NT is the conceptualizers. If you don't know which camp you're in consider the question: Given that we all want both, but if you could only choose one, what couldn't you live without? a life where you discover meaning or a life where you discover new ideas? If you can't live without meaning, that probably indicates you're on the F side. If you can't live without ideas, you're probably on the T side.
I'm not sure I worded that well. I can't find the original quote. But I thought I'd throw that out there for those who would like to nail down their type better.
