The New Pornographers show on Tuesday was absolutely sick. They were fucking unbelievable. Here's my attempt at remembering the setlist, but it's probably all kinds of fucked up.

Twin Cinema
Use It
The Bleeding Heart Show
The Bones of An Idol
Jackie, Dressed in Cobras
These Are The Fables (My Street)
Sing Me Spanish Techno!
Streets of Fire
Mass Romantic
My Slow descent Into Alcoholism
The Fake Headlines
Letter From an Occupant
Laws Have Changed
End Of Medicine
Testament To Youth in Verse.

Actually that wasn't the setlist at all, but they played those songs. The Bleeding Heart Show, Letter from an Occupnat, and Testament to Youth in verse were definite highlights. The show lacked Dan kick assness....but he played earlier with Destroyer. But I really wasn't impressed with them. His NP work is much better. Kathryn Calder had her band as the actual opening act....and they kicked all kinds of ass. They're called Immaculate Machine, and they have a New Pornographers/Arcade Fire/Apollo Sunshine kinda thing going on, which works cuz what cooler three bands could you be similar to?

I definitely wish They had played some songs in place of others, but overall the show was really good. Pretty heavy on the new album, but this is one of the few times I can go to a show and that honeslty is fine with me. But they should have taken out one of Neko's ballads and made space for All For Swinging You Around and gave Execution Day a show. Although seeing performed live may be impossible. They were obviously making an effort to avoid singing the songs with the insane harmonies.
