Swishahouse... what a weird name...but so fun to say.
I'll update too and let everyone know I'm okay after this crappy ass Katrina business. Katrina completely ruined any fun I was supposed to have the weekend before school started. But I haven't had it too bad.
Thursday night at around 9:00pm the power went out but it came back at around 4:00am that same night and we've been okay ever since. Lucky, I know... a bunch of people haven't had power all weekend and some still dont so I guess we've had it easy. A bunch of trees fell over in our yard, and I'm talking trees that have been here longer than I've been born including our avocado tree... R.I.P Guacamole a la Monica. Ugh. Other than all that crazy outdoors stuff it was good because there was no work Friday and I got lots of scrapbooking done and its STILL SATURDAY! lol... yay for a long weekend.
I was gunna talk about the 45 minute odyssey at the McDonalds drive thru this afternoon but I'll skip it and tell you guys about the new wonderful thing that happened at my house like 4 weeks ago. We got DIRECTVVVVVVV!!!! and i'm in love with satellite television. [I've never in my life had cable for those who don't know why I'm so excited] I finally know what MTV is... its awesome. It's like a new life lol... :D
I can't believe summer is over because A. it went by so quickly, B. I dread going back to school and having to study for tests, and C. there hasn't been beach weather in forever so my tanning for 2005 got shot. Now its back to FIU sans tan, ughhhh. On top of all that I have been sick for the past two weeks and today, exactly two weeks later has been the first day where I've felt better and been able to breathe. I had a REALLY bad cold that just didn't want to exit my body. Now my grandma has it... its terrible.
So lets recap: Back to school on Tuesday for me and recruitment week starts on the 5th!!! YAY!!!
