At work as usual
Hello all. :)
It's been awhile since I've updated...but not as long as it had been.
Things have been hectic with the Christmas season and all...especially with everyone coordinating vacation days here at work. It'll be even more difficult once Miranda gets vacation too. I just hope that I can get outta here sometime soon. I'd just really like to be in Columbus. It would be much easier being closer to Devin and closer to Bible study. I'm excited to move there and make more friends through Xenos.
Rochelle and Craig are on vacation. So I'm in charge...kind of. Even with Monica as the new editor/general manager, it's like we don't have a boss anyway.
So Christmas is coming. Devin and I are doing our Christmas together on Christmas Eve day/night. We'll have separate Christmases this year with our families...and next year, I'm not sure what that will hold. I'm kind of scared about that. I've grown up always spending Christmas with my Mom, Dad, sister, and recently, my niece. I'm just worried that I'm going to have to suffer through Devin's family Christmas with eating out at buffets, playing cards, and hanging out. I mean, I enjoy the homemade dinner, the funny little prayer we have at the table, opening presents around the tree together...and taking a big nap afterwards. (Not in that order obviously, ha ha) Devin's family just seems so untraditional...and my family is so traditional.
Anyway, we hired a new reporter for our newspaper. I'm a little worried about this. It seems like Rochelle is planning for my departure. I know Wendy will need an immense amount of training, I'm sure. Plus, Rochelle and I have to teach Wendy and Miranda pages. That'll be interesting. lol
Our beautiful kitty Irene is still hiding. It's underneath Devin's big, heavy furniture unit in his bedroom now. Not grood. Devin is talking about getting her out with the baseball bat. (By nudging, not beating, lol) I'm not sure about that. She's still a little scared of her new surroundings I think...but I'm not offering any other solutions either...mainly because I don't have any.
I'm not finished with Christmas shopping. Tough year. Snuck up too fast. And I'm in Columbus too much.
