TV Musings
So I've had a few marathon viewings of some tv shows lately. First, I got all caught up on Doctor Who. I watched from "The Vampires of Venice" to "The Lodger" in one day. I am seriously loving the Eleventh Doctor so much. But I admit to not being a huge Ten fan. I liked him, but I like Nine and Eleven more. Amy is a delightful companion, too. Of course, I watched "The Pandorica Opens" this past weekend. All I can say about that is "Holy crap!" Seriously, there was much flailing here. Man, it feels like this season flew right by.
I also watched all of the first season of Warehouse 13. It's such a fun show. I love all of the characters. I love all of the wacky hijinks they get into. Claudia is probably my favorite character. Her interactions with the other characters, especially Artie, amuse me. That was a pretty flail worthy cliffhanger. I look forward to season two.
Finally, I watched the first two seasons of Fringe. I missed out on this show because it was always against another show I watch. Supernatural was on at the same time. And you know what? I wish I had been watching Fringe instead because it is awesome! Seriously, I ended up loving this so much that it's probably my favorite show at the moment. I honestly did not think I'd like it all that much. I wrongly thought it was a ripoff of The X-Files. While there are similarities, Fringe has it's own myth arc, which I think is even more interesting. Also, it has a family element that The X-Files was missing. Family relationships on tv shows intrigue me, and I just love Peter and Walter's. And Olivia is an awesome, kickass female character. There is not a character I dislike on this show. Basically, I found my new fandom obsession. :)
I'm glad there's plenty of stuff to watch this summer. Leverage is back. White Collar and Warehouse 13 will be starting back up soon. There's also True Blood and Pretty Little Liars. Summer tv won't be so boring.
