The OC Rewatch

I started rewatching The OC today. I just had a strange urge to, so I did. I watched up to The Perfect Couple so far.

I'm amused Francis Capra was in "The Gamble." Also, Jane Espenson wrote that one. That's kind of awesome.

I still really hate Marissa. Her non-stop angst, emo, and woe is me attitude is so exhausting to watch. And it puts a strain on my eyes due to my constant eye rolling whenever she is on screen. Plus? Mischa Barton is such a terrible actress. I can't stand her voice. She over enunciates everything.

But there is so much good in this show, too. I seriously love Sandy and Kirsten's relationship. I also love Ryan and Seth's brotherly like relationship. I love the random scenes in the Casa Cohen kitchen.

Julie is such a bitch, but you can still tell she truly loves her kids. Melinda Clarke is a good actress and is very underrated.

The dialogue is great. It's witty and, even though I have seen these episodes many times before, I still laugh. Summer cracks me up. There's a reason she's my favorite character. It's funny that she was just going to be in a few episodes as the stereotypical spoiled princess, but they liked Rachel Bilson. So they kept her and developed her into more than that. It's amazing to see her transformation from pilot to series finale. She and Julie both have changed so much. The writers did a nice job with that, I think.

I miss this show.

I'm currently watching Cold Case. If there was a drinking game and viewers had to take a shot everytime Kensington was mentioned, they'd be very drunk by the end of the episode. Kensington, for those who don't know, is a rough neighborhood in Philly. It's always mentioned. Every week, I swear. My dad and I always laugh about it.
