she used to tell me all the time. It bothered me back then. But after being apart for a while now I realize that Nat meant no ill intent.

After all is said and done what I miss the most is her friendship.

yes and no.

"compliment" is an expression of esteem, affection, admiration. ex: you're so hot!

"complement" is to make something perfect or complete.

so perhaps it's up to you how to spell a relationship. ;)
