Every Good Turn...
It is I, who is he, who hasn't been updating...or writing. For the last several months bartending has sapped most of my creative will. Yesterday I began a new chapter. I am continuing to work for Marriott but now as a DTS agent.
WHAT, pray tell, is a DTS agent you may be asking yourself. DTS stands for Delighted to Serve and I am really a glorified switchboard operator with more function and less pay. The position does, however, teach you most everything there is to know in the hotel and allows me the opportunity to advance quickly. This is more or less why I did it. I also have pulled a schedule change dynamic up-heaving my evening shifts and beginning my new work day at 6am. Grueling business.
This shores up some time for me and hopefully leads to a fulfilling lifestyle change that I'm looking forward to. For all of you out there in LJ land that didn't drop me, and of course most of us are old friends anyhow, thank you for staying tuned for the next episode in Derek's life.
