I Cherish Your Shadow

An entrance, like a child, playing softly on my mind, reaching into that sad exterior and making me unwind. You're a triumphant song that plays for me. A melody uncompromising. It seems to me I've waited all my life just to see you smile. Like a memory you'll grow distant. Languid arms lain around my slumping frame. I'll refrain from telling you how I die a little when I hear your name. You are my splendor...my waking dream...my cold remains...a song that aches to breathe, it's all the same.
