this weekend i went to ohio with tytus. and well, it was a really good weekend:
we left friday around 2 o'clock and the first hour and half of the drive was awesome. it was daylight outside and kentucky has so many funny attractions and it was just ridiculous. listening to maylene...and then...it got dark. and tytus and i realized that kentucky is the worst state ever to drive through. yes, it's worse than me driving through georgia. slkdjfla;sjfsa took forever.
we finally got there, hung out with jamie and tommy for a little while and then fell asleep.
saturday we slept in till 10, got up ate breakfast and tytus and i headed over to jake and kristin's and they made white chili which is THE BEST THING YOU WILL EVER TASTE IT IS SO GOOD. johnny boy came over and we hung out and then we decided to walk to what they call the 'rock place.' in the middle of this small town they have a house and it's open to the public and in its backyard is just mountains of rocks put together to make statues and forts. it was so cool. i'll get pictures later and make a picture post.
after we left the rock place we decided to head over to the show. and that was so much fun. except small town scene kids are worse than big city ones. all the girls stared me down and i kind of wanted to punch them. fuck those bitches. anyways, watched the first band, and they were okay. i don't even remember their name just some local band. then tytus' friends paul band played and they were amazing. after their set i talked to them about playing a show here in nashville with covington so i'm trying to hook that up. anyways another band played that kicked butt and i can't remember their name lol and then HIT THE LIGHTS played and that was the whole reason i went. they were sooooo good. the only bad thing is that the venue was really small and the owners were freaking out and if you tried to dance or do anything that required any kind of movement besides standing there they freaked out on you. so that kind of sucked. but besides that it was really good.
after the show tytus' friend johnny and i drove to his house to get his clothes and stuff cause he was staying the night with us at tytus'. best car ride ever. listened to music with the windows down cause it wasn't too cold and the stars were out and it was just so rad. hung out at johnny's for a little while and then left to go back to tytus'. we got there and we all ended up being hungry so we went to walmart and got ice cream and stuff to much on and went back and hung out till about 2 or 3 and we all fell asleep on the floor in the basement.
yesterday we got up at 9 went to church, went back to tytus' and packed went to subway and got lunch and then tytus and i made the trek back to nashville. IT RAINED THE WHOLE TIME AND THERE WERE RANDOM TRAFFIC JAMS IN KENTUCKY AND IT WAS THE WORST DRIVE EVER.
what was supposed to take 6 hours took like 7 and half. it was ridiculous.
anyways, it was overall a good weekend. but im glad to be back in nashville. next friday im driving to indiana with TK to go to the harley poe concert. that'll be fun because tk and i are starting to become friends and it'll be a good chance to get to know him.
