I went to Best Buy to see if there was a deal on video games because I have fully beaten Super Mario Sluggers and no school is coming up. Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword was A) $49.99 and B) Needed the motion plus thing... which was sold out anyway ( Read more... )

Also, imo, save your money for expansion packs. Stuff packs aren't worth it. They don't add any new gameplay and the objects are a bit crap. (That's EA milking it for you.) You can find nicer designed custom content all over the net for free.

Oh that's alright then :) Ah well if it's a freebie you can't really complaint about that :P

modthesims is the main go-to place, but recently it's lacked a lot of things so I use mysims3blog.blogspot.com/. It has daily updates and links to sooooo many different custom content sites. It's a treasure trove of Simmy things!

Thanks so much! I shall browse around as I try to schedule in wireless internet visits. I like designing things more than raising the actual Sim XDDD Right now, I have sort of distant cousins of Yagyuu and Sanada living together in a pretty nice house w/o any custom content installed. The only strange thing is that they won't cook anything on the grill... even though there is a grill just outside. It's like they don't think the grill exists and I've tried deleting it and buying a new one and stuff.

... I haven't sledgehammered the grill yet... Maybe that's the next step lol.

Sims 3 is perfect then, because you can customise EVERYTHING. ;)

Hmm, well, you can only cook a limited amount of things on the grill. Are you clicking on the grill and telling them to prepare something? Or does it not give you any options?

The game is updating so SLOOOOOOOOOOOOWLY. Darn it patch updates! ><

I click on the grill and it says "Hot Dogs" and "Hamburgers" and then cousin!Yagyuu will go to the fridge and take out a tray of links... and then set it on the table. And then I'll click on it and say "Continue Cooking", which means he will pick it up and set it back down before not doing anything for a few seconds.

... Then he'll throw it away because he's neat LOL.

I don't have a dying need to cook hot dogs and hamburgers and grilled cheese. I just thought it was weird. Maybe this patch update will fix that?

Hahaha yeah. Patches are mahoosive but they do solve a lot of problems. Though having said that, one thing I hated about the latest patch (when I had to update for Night Life) is that it made a lot of the non-EA custom content useless. Like you couldn't put stuff on tables, and Sims would freeze and not move if they got into bed. Basically anything that wasn't the game's own content would conflict in some way or another. Real fucked up on EA's part, but they don't care. I guess it's their way of saying HAH, NOW YOU CAN'T USE OTHER PEOPLES PRETTY CC, YOU HAVE TO USE OUR SHITTY ONES. :////

Yeah that's really odd. Sounds like a bug. Hopefully the patch will fix it :)

I will post pictures of my Sims when they look less like distant cousins of their counterparts lol. I'm going through the archives slowly trying to find a haircut that's suitable... but so far I only found one that looks awesome for an Atobe. And my thing is stuck on verification >< Wth. Hopefully quitting it won't crash everything.

It was a really big problem D: Lots of CC makers had to fix their stuff and reupload them. Once these objects were replaced with the fixed versions they worked fine. But some of the nice ccs I use haven't been fixed by their makers so I had to take them out of the game :( It's a pity that EA have to throw a massive spanner in the works.

It's probably just huge and taking time to install. Updates are a bitch. Good luck!
