Day of Rediscovery

... I guess that's what you could call it? It was just a strange day where I didn't really feel like writing or playing on Photoshop or making fun of something silly/awkward I have found. But it was interesting.

First, I found out that one of my favorite bands, Skillet, is coming to my city to play at the yearly "Summer Celebration" event (it's like a 9 day event of concerts, a carnival, an art fair, etc.) at a nice site by the lakeshore. General admission tickets are $30. For the seventeen years I've lived in this city, I've never actually gone to see a concert (probably because most of the groups I've never heard of or am remotely interested in). But it's Skillet!! On a side note, Josh Groban is going to be performing a concert in a city 40 minutes away from me, but tickets to see him are EXPENSIVE. *cries* Josh Groban is my favorite singer - his voice is so deep and resonant!!

Second, I forced myself to watch the last four episodes of Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru so that I could say I finished watching it. The main character's voice/personality makes me want to shoot myself (so whiny/weak/insecure/repetitive/etc.), but many of those characters are very good-looking. Shuusei Usui <3 I didn't realize I missed him so. Also, one of the bad guys of the series was wearing something that reminded me of Trinity Blood (the next series I had seen after Fullmetal Alchemist). So long ago.

Then I thought, maybe I'll make a day out of looking at things that I just kind of left off on because of being busy with school. Next up was the 07-Ghost manga, which had this weird flux in being updated consistently. So I just kind of stopped reading it for a while because the gaps of time didn't help with my memory. I need to sit down and re-read the last fifteen or so chapters to re-sort all of my questions. I remember loving this series a lot when I first discovered it and I want to experience that again.

Got the latest volume of Fullmetal Alchemist. It had one of the saddest chapters (for me in it because it involves my favorite character Roy Mustang) T.T This series was my first love - the reason why I got into anime/manga. Reading it makes me nostalgic, but it is so full of WIN. ^^

Kaichou wa Maid-sama. I had volume 8 for a while, but I guess I haven't read it yet. So I did and now I have a craving to watch the anime again. For Takumi Usui because that boy is that series version of Special A's Kei Takishima. And I adore their over-the-top skills in everything possible + their irresitable charm.

I still need to finish my '30 Days of Hetalia meme'. Somehow I forgot I was doing that. *fail* Speaking of Hetalia, just bought my first two Hetalia doujinshi (Prussia/Austria!). I love USUK very much so, but it was too expensive for me. x.x And Sweden... He's shy cute.

As I was shifting through things, I saw volume 5 of Kuroshitsuji laying out and it reminded me I need to watch the musical. Sebastian Michaelis is the ultimate of all BAs + he wears a tuxedo w/ tails (one of my favorite items of formal wear). He is just one hell of a butler ;)

Tales of Symphonia. I just stopped at the beginning of the Tethella episodes :/ I need to finish that because I love everything about the game. My ToS gamer self won't be complete without finishing the series.

Haven't done anything related with Kyou Kara Maou, Junjou Romantica, or La Corda D'Oro in a while. Some of my favorite series ever. Kyou Kara Maou takes the prize for longest series that I've actually completed. Junjou Romantica is just boy/boy love with some writing that is so touching! And La Corda D'Oro (although I don't like the main character) is love because of music, competition, hard work, hot guys, friendship, etc.

And lastly, my brother and I sat down the other day and started watching some Prince of Tennis. Yes, after almost two years, I'm going to finish that series. We watched five episodes so that puts me up at 151/178. The only episodes that I haven't watched are those random ones that don't include my favorite characters and some matches with the Golden Pair or against Kevin Smith or deals with Echizen being in the US. And Episodes 4-12? (the early ones), I haven't watched either.

After that comes the manga, which I have read half of. Of course, going by my favorite arcs :P

manga, real life, anime
