Dude....busy weekend!

Saturday started off pretty lax. We went into Kelowna to visit some family and it was more convenient for my parents to get to and from this Christian Fundraiser Dinner they were going to (my step dad was MCing <3). So 2 hours before the big dinner, my step dad finds he needs to me give a small testimony as well...OMGosh. Let me elaborate. This dinner was to help fundraise this new program a friend of the family is starting up. The program is a new center up in Rock Creek for people living troubled lives and so basically, my step dad would've given his testimony for his drunken years and how it's effected our family was but he was MCing. So that left me and my mother who both gave a 5 minute testimony. It was the first time I had ever talked about that stuff in front of a crowd of 100 strangers. There were a bit of tears from yours truly but I made it through without becoming a blubbered mess. I even got a standing ovation! It was a great night. <3

Sunday was busy as well. Church as usual. Then Kelci picked me up and we went shopping at Value Village for some green clothing. We're senior green team leaders and this next week's spirit week. So our plan was to deck out in green and obliterate the other 3 teams before the week even started! I got dressed up: face paint, long green socks, crazy green toque, awesome greenish hawaiian shirt...the works! I get to school and find that none of my teammates or co-leaders did the same....so I was alone in my spirit. However, if you know me, I did like I always do: I embraced my outcast-ness and went mad with spirit to make up for the lack thereof. This school sucks for school spirit...go figure. I'm the exact opposite so I had my green horn blowing, made signs during my lunch break, and paraded down the hall like an idiot. I got stares but I got over it as well. I want to go out of this school with a bang.

That last paragraph kinda included a bit of Monday. On top of the first spirit day being an epic fail I had my first rugby practice. I mentioned earlier how nonathletic I am so this first practice kicked my ass into shape. I'm feeling the leg cramps already but, unlike other times, I'm going to stick with it till the end!! I also officially switched into PE for 4th quarter as well.

Random moment of the day: Mr. Gee brought up with article about this guy basically bashing teens of this generation, saying that they are zoned out from the world, are intense consumers, and don't keep up-to-date in current events, etc. The funny part was that my sociology teacher, Mr. Gee, is beginning to get to know me so he instantly looks at me and says, "I think you're going to refute this." XD I'm beginning to have a reputation for arguing with every point or he figured out that I'm not a mainstream geek and enjoy learning about current events and refuse to listen to gossip and celebrity BS. lol

Fashion show is on Wednesday so I have a huge practice tomorrow. Most likely won't be online till maybe Thursday? Hopefully sooner. <3 Busy busy busy week. Spring break's next week so woop woop!!
