I've heard that this place hasn't been exactly stable as of late, so I have to wonder what's in store for us next. What exactly are these unforeseen circumstances you're referring to?

Originally, they were to be summoned to assist with the last plane shift.

...However, it seems that Nuadoria, while in a state of regeneration, is quite unstable and may not return to its normal plane once the regeneration effects are over.

I did think that it was strange that they didn't appear before, when it seemed as if we actually needed them. I have to wonder though, what exactly is the alternative to its normal plane shift? I'm afraid I wasn't here when things were relatively normal.

Ah, yes, I see. My apologies.

There are eight planes that make up Nuadoria as it currently stands. All of these planes, with the exception of Otherworld and Regeneration, coexist with the normal plane and are self-sustaining. You are currently on the regeneration plane, which has the elemental attribute of light. Previously, you experienced the Otherworld plane, which has the elemental attribute of dark. These two do not co-exist. It might be easier to think of them as layers that coat the normal plane to transform it into something else.

Normally, after the regeneration phase, it returns to the default plane, which has no elemental attribute to itself. However, it is sometimes possible for the other planes to overlay the normal one as well, despite coexisting. It creates a unique plane that is neither the normal plane nor the elemental plane, giving unique attributes to the weather, the conditions of magic, even at times the physical landscape.

I have to admit, that's quite a bit to take in, but I'm pretty sure I've gotten the gist of it. The mention of magic definitely threw me for a loop as well. I have to wonder though: Who is it that summoned these parasites to assist us? From what I've understood, whoever's behind that doesn't possess the ability to alter the plane shifts or maintain control over them and, as such, has granted us these as a means to defend ourselves against the unpredictable nature of these planes.
