She'd started running back when she was finally give a place to meet Itachi at and has continued since. Not to far behind her, her gestalt flutters furiously to keep up with the girl. With just her coat, bag, and Artemis, she found herself passing street by street block by block until finally running up the steps of the archives.
Opening the doors she continues her pace until she finally catches sight of Itachi, coming to a slow and then stop, breathing a bit heavy.
"That wasn't too hard," she says between breaths (mostly to herself), it only taking a few moments for her to stop panting from such a run. She stands a little taller now, looking around the archives curiously. To be honest, she's never seen this place before and she can't help but wonder what it must have looked like back when the city was inhabited. Her winged cat swoops down to land on her shoulder now that she is no longer running like the world depended on it.
If anything, it was comforting to see Yuuki had made her way safely to the archives. He did not find himself underestimating her abilities for survival -- there was a risk and danger for anyone in this city -- but he had found himself concerned over the young girl’s being. When she had came barging in, breathing heavily, he murmured in a low tone, "It's a relief you made your way safely." It was fully sincere despite the lack of emotion in his voice.
Turning his attention from her and redirecting it towards the interior of the archives, he had assumed that there would have been a catalyst that would have let them enter purgatory. The second time he had entered that place was by Caim, and he was not here.
Instead his gaze fell on Yuuki, "I assume you have what you need -- ?" He gazed at her bag and her familiar (His own perched on his shoulder, ruffling at it’s feathers before squawking loudly.)
The heels to her boots click loudly on the floor as she turns a corner down a hall and started to approach them. She looks exactly the same as she always does only this time not on a screen but a physical appearance. In her right hand is her scythe, the one Dan had had for quite some time until he had disappeared to go home.
Lilith approached the two in silence, stopping a few feet away from them. She maneuvers her scythe to let the bottom his the floor and it stand upright. He voice isn't as computer sounding, it's a real voice if it lacks quite a bit of emotion.
She nods to Itachi, but if she had planned to add a verbal response, it never comes. Her attention is drawn away from Itachi and towards the hallway that Lilith approaches them for.
For a moment, there's something about her that intimidates Yuuki (perhaps how tall and lovely and graceful she is), but she can't quite pin it down (perhaps it extends beyond that, perhaps there's something more intimidating about the woman with that scythe that easily rivaled Artemis and had no restrictions to it). The intimidation factor lasts for a few seconds until Lilith speaks to them. Yuuki sighs quietly, glancing to Itachi for an answer to that.
She's ready for whatever is going to come their way, here in this library and there in Niflheim.
"Thank you for your help," she directs it towards Lilith with a small bow.
At the sound of footsteps making their way towards them, Itachi tilts his head in Lilith’s direction, fully alert in her presence. ( -- He was still wary, still on guard when she came close.)
His vision met the way she held herself -- graceful and poise -- to the weapon in her hand. But he does not find himself intimated by her sudden appearance unlike Yuuki, if anything, he expected it. To her question, he only give her a affirmative nod before standing in front and beside Yuuki, allow Lilith to pass beside them if she needs too.
He understood the consequences of journeying within Niflheim to seek for the magister, however cannot help but to find himself cautious of Lilith’s motives.
If Lilith was sizing the two of them up, it wasn't noticeable.
She's quiet for a moment after hearing their confirmation. It's just a small twist for her to turn on heel with her back to them, long hair delayed in following her body movement as she took a couple steps forward and away from them. It's an incredibly quick movement, as if the scythe weighs nothing to her; she tilts it and takes a diagonal swing with one hand, the blade itself striking thin air.
It's not just air it catches, however. Instead of the woosh swinging something like that would echo in a place like this, the sound of tearing is more easily recognized. Looking back to the scythe blade only shows it continuing to rip through thin air, cutting like paper. The rip becomes larger, revealing darkness and chilly temperatures, but Lilith merely steps away to the side motioning them forward.
"This will take you to Niflheim when ready. Should you find the Ice Magister he will be able to return you safely to this plane."
She moves, and the seconds seem slow-paced as she lifts the weapon to slash through the air until the space before them melt together in one intangible entrance.
The cold draft hits him, but only for a second. He finds himself tense at the touch of coldness, not well-versed in its chill that passes through him. However he does not find himself uncomfortable or hesitant as he makes his moves forward, half-glancing behind his shoulder to Yuuki, giving her a glance of acknowledgment as well as approval for them to move forward, "Stay close to me."
A slip of the sheath that is typical hidden within the sleeve of his robe and Itachi takes out the smallest blade as he steps into Niflheim. He works his way into this dead place smoothly and calmly, and it’s when Yuuki is close to him that he turns his attention back to her, "Do you have any means to protect yourself by?" Because even if Itachi is confident in his abilities, he is also at the liability that Niflheim is unpredictable
Yuuki doesn't dwindle, especially when Itachi tells her to stay close. Stepping through the portal that cold gust of air suddenly didn't seem so cold now that they were on the other side. Subconsciously, Yuuki crosses her arms, even with her coat and just having left an area of immense heat. This place is different (a cold, ice filled darkness of silence) from Muspelheim (hot, burning light of silence), but there is one thing in common. They're both areas of death and decay, whether to freeze to death or burn away
( ... )
For the two instincts of Itachi being in Niflheim (One being unwillingly brought by his death, the other being welcomed by Caim.) Itachi had felt himself intruding. It would have been a lie if he had admitted to himself that he found himself without the state of concern for their current position and situation, but it’s Yuuki’s soft words that had let his thoughts linger to the back of his mind as the portal behind slithered back into it’s natural state of non-existing
( ... )
"Really?" Yuuki asks, surprise and curiosity in her voice. She knows it's not exactly uncommon for other worlds to not have things that hers did as Zero had said, but even so she's still surprised.
"That's true..." she, as well, has not been introduced to the Commodore, despite Zero's apparent connection to the Task Force. Her voice lights up when Itachi suggests knowing where Caim is, however. As much as she wants to help, this place wasn't exactly her first choice for exploring.
"How far are we from this place's archives?" She looks around, surprised by how similar to Nuadoria it is here, even with the added cold and darkness.
"What I know of them is what I have observed here." He spoke casually and calmly to Yuuki, words that were not completely in contrast to where they were now: distant, but not unkind as he walked beside her.
Itachi was not stripped of his sharingan, using it to its full abilities and the capabilities itself would have assisted them in their search. It seemed as though this deserted, cold, and in a sense, comforting that this place was lacking in a society and chaos -- but with that, it was simply not devoid of anything living.
"Not far, I believe." It was a lie; they were further than what would be considered convenient.
"If my assumption is wrong, then we will search elsewhere."
"Have... there been many vampires in Nuadoria?" she sounded a bit cautious, but her curiosity won over.
"Okay!" she replied, dismissing the previous conversation for an enthusiastic response despite the circumstances. She looked around, surveying the area as they walked. It was strangely silent here, and even just the still air they breathed in was cold enough that it made her throat hurt.
Yuuki's expression became increasingly serious as they moved. What if the magister wouldn't help them? She shook the thoughts away as soon as they had come and directed her attention straight on ahead.
They didn't have time for doubting anything right now.

"Thank you for waiting, Uchiha-san."
