1ST FLOOR HALL :: 8AM redskyrising November 7 2010, 03:55:04 UTC
[He doesn't recognise the hotel room. He doesn't recognise the hallway either, and has absolutely no recollection of having come this way at all. It reeks of a kidnapping attempt, or one of Reno's less amusing jokes, but so far no one's tried to stop him from leaving. Or disarm him. Or even try to pull fingernails out in an effort to make impolite conversation.]

[But his PHS is gone, and the phone in the room proves useless, and the decor in this hotel really isn't to his taste.]

[The first floor corridor really should lead to the lobby, and to places where he can obtain more information, but right now it just seems to be content to go in circles. It's all really starting to get a tad annoying.]

I haven't read this at all tonight, I just hope it makes sense... :( pseudism November 11 2010, 00:22:10 UTC
[ He's had some time to explore since he left his room, for what little difference it's made - an hour or so of looking down samey corridors, exploring the empty lobby, staring down an endless stretch of doors and none of it's made an particular difference, nothing's changed, he's none-the-wiser about why he's there or where 'there' is. An occasional hotel walker ambles by and Giovanni ignores them, and they look through his guns like they're nothing and smile politely and he thinks, maybe they really did die, in some fashion; being here is like being half-complete, able to catch the awareness of others, but not to elicit the right responses, the right comprehension, and maybe it's from being the vestiges of some other plane, detached from their reality, or. Maybe they aren't really there at all. Just images of something ( ... )

Makes plenty of sense to me! redskyrising November 13 2010, 12:52:30 UTC
[The gunshot precedes the other, echoing down the hallway and making him tense and brush fingers over the gun slung at his hip. But he refrains from drawing it, content to stake out the best location for a strategic withdrawal (insofar as there is one, in this Shiva-forsaken corridor).]

[The echoes of the gunshot give way to the sound of footsteps, which give way to their owner, and he smiles thinly. The aura of suppressed - momentarily suppressed - violence is unmistakable, even without the giveaway gunfire earlier, and he thinks, for a moment, that maybe Kadaj had been reincarnated. Or had a makeover.]

[...Amusing thought, anyway.]

[He suppresses the first response that comes to mind, the instinct to ask just what place the other is referring to. He inclines his head instead, eyes flicking to the holstered guns.]

Engaging in a little target practice?

Sorry for how long this took to get written, bbcakes. :( pseudism November 30 2010, 20:28:16 UTC
[ Is that what it looks like. Giovanni smiles thinly, less tense than he feels, but it's still there, still obvious in the lines between his upper and lower jaw where the push down against each other like a faultline, the tension of his brow drawing behind his glasses, making it all a little bit wrong, a little bit insincere. He's seen the gun at Rufus's hip, but he doesn't acknowledge it as a problem ( ... )

[Thus far, all the people he has met in this hotel have been quite intent on minding their own business. But there's always a percentage of a population that's up to no good, isn't there?]

[The back of his neck tingles, an instinctive fight or flight response. But he never backs down from a threat, and as for fighting...

He sees the stranger's gaze shift to the gun he carries. Silly boy. Not all battles are fought with weapons.]

Is it so unusual? There are no gun laws here.

[Well, technically he doesn't know that, but so far none of the staff have made any objection. He smiles, and shifts the conversation into a slightly higher gear.]

Although I daresay the staff wouldn't be very pleased at your destruction of the property.
