Why didn't he bring a knife? (And even though he wrote four, five versions of a letter for Souji to give to his parents if his next trip into the Midnight Channel was his last, this really wasn't something he was prepared for. Death wasn't something he was prepared for.) Why didn't he bring a knife. The hell was a wrench going to do against...it? That...thing?

Akihiko shouted a warning: Yosuke found himself shouting something else. "Per-...!" he shouted reflexively, reaching for a card that wasn't going to come.

His familiar moved.

Pands shifted to something else: fur changed into cloth and the bear gave away to a frog. His frog...and up until the last year Yosuke Hanamura never thought he'd have 'his frog'...Jiraiya, with a gust of wind whipping against the thing, and the second he got back to Inaba he was going to buy the other stupid bear enough topsicles to last a lifetime and now really wasn't the time for thinking that because they had to get out of there, fast. His stupid bear would only hold it...her off for so long.

"Let's run! Move!"

While Naoto would've preferred to stay around to fight (running was never exactly her thing to begin with, considering that Naoto liked to finish her battles), it was looking like it would be better for them to run and regroup.

Naoto could think of one good thing about this whole encounter, at least. She now knew that it was possible for both herself and Yosuke to use their Personae. Of course, her familiar hadn't reacted, but if it had happened to Yosuke, it was likely to happen to her. She wouldn't mind seeing her Persona again.

But yes, this whole thing could be talked about after they regrouped. Now was not the time to be thinking, especially with Yosuke's Persona providing a distraction.
