When: Thursday evening.
Ororon was tired, and had been since before he'd even arrived. He still thought it a trick - this place was wont to play with the mind like that, and he'd seen it first hand. Cigarettes kept his nerves from jangling.
All the same, it had taken him only a moment to arrive at the fountain - unscathed and for all appearances utterly alive - he wasn't sure if he was or not, but it didn't matter now. A few long strides found him directly in front of Chiaki, another fluid movement and the cigarette he'd been nursing was in the fountain.
He didn't touch her - not yet. He simply inhaled, and the exhale was a bitter little laugh. She certainly looked real enough. "Chiaki."
