Who: Open! (so all of you should come right now) What: Ball Event~! Where: Ask me later, just pretend you know. It's a really nice hall somewhere. When: This evening, January 17th :)
Karako was excited. Sure, she had a gaping wound in the middle of her chest, but it wasn't going to keep her from enjoying herself. She could choke down any major pain, and made sure her blood stayed thick throughout the days already.
Plus, Nagi was with her, and he was wearing a suit.
And they were probably going to dance.
So to hell with the fact that they were, yet again, trapped somewhere. To hell that if she turned too quickly her wound protested and she could barely hide a wince.
A ball was made to be enjoyed, and she would, no matter what.
And there, of course, was Nagi, obediently trailing behind Karako -- looking around at the ball and looking vaguely stuck somewhere between in awe and confused. Parties, he understood, but grand affairs had never quite been his thing -- especially in DW. (Of course, this suit had been provided thanks to LILITH, but it felt rather odd -- something he was rather unaccustomed to.) So all the glitz and glamor was a sight for sore eyes, one that he observed, bemused -- in between cautious glances at Karako.
She was strong, of course, he knew that for sure. But still, the wound had been considerable. A small, near-silent sigh, as he picked up the pace a bit to step up beside her, giving a small laugh.
Karako liked the atmosphere, looking around with wide eyes. It was a change from the mood of DW, and she was glad for it. It made it easier for her to keep standing regardless of her wound. She gave Nagi a small grin, hooking her arm around one of his.
"Of course! It's a ball, aren't those supposed to be fancy?" She asked, her fingers going to the bell around her neck subconsciously.
Her eyes moved around the room and fell into the buffet, the plates steaming with warm food.
"Nagi! There's food!" She said, tugging him toward the tables.
"Mm, I suppose so." And then, before he could entertain that train of thought much longer, there was the arm around his, tugging his forward towards where the buffet was set up. -- which, honestly, sent a wave of relief washing through him, because it was so like her to make a beeline straight for the food.
Laughing, he followed behind her -- he wasn't very hungry, but what did it matter? If this was a party, he certainly wasn't going to keep from letting her enjoy herself. "I guess our hosts thought of all the basics as well as the fancy details."
Karako nodded absent-mindedly, grabbing as much food as she could and shoving it into a plate. It looked and smelled delicious. She grabbed another plate and filled it up as well, putting as much of the food she remembered Nagi liked on it as she could.
"There!" She said, before moving away from the buffet and towards some of the dining tables. "Let's eat, we can dance later!"
She chuckled as she sat, putting one of the plates on the seat facing hers and giving Nagi a bright grin.

"It's certainly a lot fancier than I expected."
