[When Kairi first hears the sound of the ocean, she thinks for a moment that she is back home. But that illusion fades as soon as she opens her eyes to find herself in a strange new place. She tries to shake off her disappointment, but the reality of where she is takes some time to sink in. Kairi stares at the figure encased in the center of the room, feeling an odd pang of familiarity. They had said that they would make a deal to bring them back… Was this part of it?

The communicator still works, and after finally being able to speak with some of her friends, she feels calmer. She’s alive. Yet even her optimism is starting to sound a little forced as she reassures them that she would be alright. She hopes that they couldn’t notice.

At least the air feels less tense here. Kairi can’t see anyone she recognizes other than the white haired boy she had met in the cathedral. She looks around for Naruto and his friends, but they’re nowhere in sight.

It’s then that she notices a woman at the entrance. Kairi doesn’t want to be the first to speak up and gives a nervous glance at the others.]

Who…

[She falls quiet before finishing her question and takes a few steps backwards. Whoever she is, if she brought them there she might be able to help them get back to her friends. Or she could be like the other woman and… Kairi stops and holds her ground. She doesn’t want to see anyone else get hurt.]

[ The redhead girl might have be too intimidated to finish her question but Katou certainly isn’t. When Kairi speaks, he glances up-first at her, then in the direction she’s looking, his expression barely changing upon catching sight of the woman lurking near the entrance to this place. He’s died so many times now that nothing is really surprising about it anymore. So after a moment of simply observing the ghost-like woman, he raises an eyebrow at her as a sign of acknowledgement and finally speaks. ]

Who the fuck are you?

[ He has no reason to be scared here, after all. He’s already dead for crying out loud! So many times over in fact he’s starting to lose count. Whoever this woman is, she poses no threat to him in his mind, so he simply glowers at her as he waits for a response. ]

[ For a second - Tsuna thinks he might actually be alive before. Technically, this is the second time he's found out that he's died - but that hadn't made anything easy for him. .... Besides, if the others had died before - it was only a matter of time before he got the chance, to come back again, right?

It's just like Tsuna-just when he thinks something good might happen, it's the complete opposite.

At least he's not alone.

Rather, this place doesn't hold the same atmosphere as the other's ever since he left Japan. ]

W-Where is this now--? [ the others had already asked his other questions for him. and he can only stare anxiously at the girl in front of them. What else could possibly be waiting for him here...? Rather, where was here?!

Don't panic, Tsuna. God this is bad this is really bad what do I do?! ]

[ It's falling apart, tearing at the seams, and - the thing that unsettles her the most is the fact that she can't do anything about it. She knows the reason why, knows that everything she can do is pretty limited, because - who ever heard of a ghost becoming tangible? It's almost funny, she thinks, how she's entirely helpless when it matters most, but... And she doesn't even know why she's like this in the first place.

Voices catch her attention, and it makes her blink. Once, twice, until she's finally turning around to see people approaching her, looking at her. Where did they come from--? She doesn't know, doesn't have the answer, doesn't have anything other than this: she feels like she can trust them.

And if she couldn't, then - she'd deal with those consequences later, because there's no time, and the clock's continuously ticking. Precious seconds keep on slipping away, so they really have no moment to waste - ]

Erielle. My name is Erielle. [ It's a good start, and she even offers them a small smile. ] I am the priestess of Nuadoria, and - [ Here, she glances around them, eyebrows furrowing, looking quite concerned. ] - there isn't much time. Keter is rapidly breaking down, and if we don't stop it -

[ And here is where she pauses. Looking quite sad, now. ]

- everyone will perish.

[ But it only stays on her face for a split-second before it's replaced by determination. ]

So come. We must hurry. I shall explain everything on the way.

[ For someone as painfully unremarkable as he thinks himself, Hanatarou seems to end up being pulled into these situations rather frequently anymore -- large scale, life or death situations, and he never has anything more than the vaguest idea of what was going on.

Because he isn't supposed to be involved in these things, he isn't a hero or anything like that, like he figures almost all the others standing around him now must be. He's just a clumsy shinigami who will always end up in the wrong place at the wrong time; and he's certain that this -- wherever it is and however they all got here -- is the wrong place, and judging by this girl's -- priestess's? -- words, it is definitely the wrong time as well.

And as always, he can do nothing more than follow and do his best, so he does. ]

What should we--

[ He hesitates, glancing at the others with him to make sure he isn't out of line in being the first to reply before continuing. ]

How-- how do we help?

[Kairi is quiet as she tries to understand what she was told. She remembers hearing that the world was ending, only she didn't know why or what she could do to help. If everyone's lives were in danger, she'd do anything to protect them. With a resolute nod, she just starts to move towards Erielle when she hears another boy speak.

She didn't even think to ask the question. How. After a moment, she turns and gives him a reassuring smile. At least they all seem like they want to help.]

I think we should follow her.

[Erielle didn't seem like a bad person, she has to know what they should do. All this time that Kairi spent not being able to change what was happening... maybe now she would get the chance.]
