Stork's large yellow eyes were twitching as his long light green fingers wrapped around a broken pipe that had suffered a good bout of damage from what he could guess that was from the massive flooding and random 'deep freeze' when those sharks disappeared. Of course, even on his home tera, there was moments that there would be a calm passing period between the natural disasters. But this was not a home by any means. It could be made livable by the Merb's standards, however. Most of Stork's traps were in the process of getting repaired, and his makeshift armour was in place on his body, already adding to his bizarre appearance. Upon the knock, Stork ears rose slightly when he heard his name. His long hand rested on a lever that, when pulled, would send a large stack of cement pieces and bricks tumbling on an intruder. You could never be too careful, doubly so for Merbs. At the next name, he turned 'round, grabbed another lever and pulled it down, which unlocked the door. "It's open," Stork called out.
haha, it's ok ~ sorry for the slow reply!7livesleftSeptember 25 2008, 04:40:38 UTC
Spike raised an eyebrow as he entered the building. He eyed the contraption attached to the door and traced it up the wall. The bounty hunter wasn't really sure how it worked, or why anyone would go through the trouble, but it was impressive in its own way.
"I see you've been busy," he muttered as he tried to pinpoint the location of the voice. Spike didn't know how long Stork had been there, but it would seem that he hadn't gotten out much if he'd done that much work to the building.
When Spike spotted him he nearly mistook him for a piece of furniture or some kind of art sculpture. He couldn't help but stare, as if he couldn't quite comprehend what he was looking at. Interesting guy.
When he realized he hadn't said anything, he cleared his throat and gave a short wave. "Yo."

It was a habit of Stork's to make things that probably wouldn't make much sense to anyone else, especially when it came to creating traps and coming up with emergancy supplies (which made him full of sad when they had no such thing as Merbian Cabbage, his no one will touch this with a pole the size of the diameter of Jupiter comfort food.)
Stork nodded once, "Spike, right?" In a moment, one of his long, scrawny arms reached across a make-shift table to pick up what looked like a regular pair of goggles, and offered them to Spike. "Here they are."
"...Yeah," Spike muttered offhandedly as he took the goggles. He turned them over and pulled at the sides, idly testing how durable they were. They didn't look as impressive as he was imagining, but he didn't comment about it. Stork had to be pretty eager to show them off if he'd hand them to a stranger, so he figured they must do something.
