Who: Rikku (kleptoness) & Yuna (findfayth)
What: The YuRi of YuRiPa meet up for some family bonding/reunion stuff.
Where: Rikku's warehouse, near the docks
When: Afternoon

If there was one thing that Yuna had learned over the course of her life, it was that family was really all one could hold onto. Even when things were at their very worst, family would always be there. Whether the bond was through blood, or only a pretending belief that it was blood that connected them, it didn't matter. Yuna would always be there for Rikku, just the same as she was always there for Lulu and Wakka. They were not truly related to her, but she considered them family all the same. They had practically raised her from girlhood into a summoner, and watched her grow from a device of Yevon into a free thinking woman who acted for herself. They knew her better than most anyone, possibly even better than Rikku herself, although Yuna would never be bold enough to state such a thing. She loved Rikku far too dearly to ever make the Al Bhed think they were anything but inseparable.

And Yuna owed so much to Rikku, really. Her happiness, her new place in life, her newfound confidence. It was all thanks to her cousin, and their friend Paine, and the adventures they shared as they traveled across Spira on the Celsius. As dangerous as it could be at times, it was incredibly exciting, and gave her something to look toward with each passing day. Rikku had been the biggest help in moving on past Tidus, past the expectations and hopes for the future that Yuna had been clinging hold of for so long. It had been difficult to move on past the man she loved, but her cousin had helped her see there was more to life than desperately clinging on to a dream, and so Yuna had leapt into her life as a sphere hunter with nothing but a promise to herself live each day as it passed.

Which is why she was so caught up in the fact that Rikku was in Nuadoria with her, and the ecstatic young woman hurried to the location that Rikku had pinged in as waiting. She was excited, and didn't bother to hide it, her face flushed with happiness and a wide grin on her face. She ran through the city streets, dodging people who were walking slower than she would have liked to moved, offering them an apologetic smile and a wave as she darted past. As she reached the location where Rikku was, she skidded to a halt, her boots crunching on some small pebbles that rested on the dock beneath her feet.

"Rikku?" Speaking her cousin's name softly, Yuna's dual colored eyes looked around, before she took a step forward.

"Rikku." A bit louder this time, Yuna allowed herself to give an uncertain glance to her surroundings, and she thought for only a split second; What if something had happened?

Rikku was someone who Yuna pictured as never really being able to be harmed. She was too much a ball of energy to ever sit still in one place long enough for someone to get their hands on her, but even still, Yuna worried. It was her job as the older one, the motherly and nurturing one of their trio. Everyone had their place in the Gullwings, didn't they? She was the soft spoken and mild mannered one, she knew, and had somehow become the leader of their group. She supposed it was her years as a Summoner and her place as a public figure that naturally led her to take gentle charge, and no one either dared or cared to challenge. Paine was the serious and rough one, the woman no one wanted to sass or get in the way of. She was the complete opposite of both Yuna and Rikku, but somehow, she fit in perfectly with them. It was almost as if Paine was a cousin as well, a part of their Gullwing family in any case.

Rikku, however, was the glue that held the entire group together. With her bright personality and abundant energy, Rikku kept everyone motivated and was the one that kept the entire crew energized. Yuna knew that they wouldn't have kept moving forward through some of their missions, had it not been for Rikku. Despite how the girl looked, she was cunning and capable. Yuna might have been able to summon Aeons and use magic once, years ago, but she couldn't create explosives or machines the way Rikku could. In a way, Rikku seemed far older than Yuna, despite the two years that separated them. And at the moment, it certainly felt it was true, as Yuna stood, feeling very much like a lost little girl.

"Rikku!" She nearly shouted, cupping her hands to her mouth.

Where was she?

Pulling out her communicator, she looked at the map, and saw that she was in the right place. Seeing that she was, she tapped her left foot up against the ground, and looked around one more time, hoping to see a passing glimpse of blond hair. There were others in the area, so it would have been easy to blend in with the crowd, had it not been someone like Rikku she was searching for. She didn't think that the Al Bhed had any choice but to stand out, not with the clothes she chose to wear, and the way her voice carried in loud volumes.

Sighing softly, Yuna turned about, and placed her communicator in the leather pouch she wore at her hip. Idly, her fingers traced over the metal of the guns on either side of her, her fingernails tapping up against them lightly. "If I were Rikku, I wonder where I'd be hiding to wait for me." She mused very softly to herself, sidestepping her way over to the closest building. It seemed to be a warehouse of sorts, larger than the kind she had seen in Guadosalam, but nothing that she couldn't make her way into. She realized that while their communicators could guide them to general locations, it couldn't pinpoint exact, and that Rikku was possibly inside one of the nearby buildings. Actually, knowing Rikku, she probably already had a home set up in one of them.

"Rikku!" She called out one last time, looking up at the warehouse that stood before her.

The sound of the water and the docks she was standing on reminded her a great deal of their time in Luca, where she had performed her first concert, and where their last adventure to save Spira had really begun. She smiled fondly at the memories she had of their time there, and wondered if she and Rikku would be getting into any other grand adventures during their time in this new world.
