<3 I'm so sorry for the long wait.redeifyNovember 21 2011, 22:07:09 UTC
Lovely? ... I think you're giving me far too much credit, you know. [ and it seemed dai was not the only one who knew how to charm and flatter his way to a goal. he wasn't about to resist temptation, not when it came in this form, in these quiet, intimate still moments. the beast's obnoxious presence, its shallow, heaving breaths were lost on him when albedo stared up at him. his eyes always seemed loaded with long-lost, pleasant ideas.
and such a question to ask. as interesting for the fact that it warranted asking as that albedo desired the answer to it. and dai looked down in the narrow space between them, down at the blood-spattered ground. ]
Power... is an idea I've had, for a very long time. If I had power, I would be the panacea to a broken world that nobody else can bear the burden of repairing, and I would fear nothing but what I can do.
.... I wonder if that's true. [ he smiled, thinly. ] The idea of power may not match reality. But if power is really that - in a true, absolute form - the reality will be what I say, regardless.
[ he caught himself, suddenly, and rubbed the back of his neck in a little faux-sheepish display, even with his eyes as sharp and irreverent as ever. ]
My, my. I think I've fallen into a crude circular logic, a bit.

[ Too much credit and yet not enough--the being in front of Albedo was charming to a fault, and at the moment, the entity was far too willing to allow it. --Questioned why, in fact, it would ever be disallowed. Dai spoke, and Albedo moved closer, near swaying to the cadence of tone Dai provided.
...Because that method and intent? Held something quite dear to Albedo's half-heart.
He reached a hand to touch Dai's torso, looking up with heavy eyes. ]
Mm, not quite circular.~ A reality born of intent and will is a reality molded to form and able to be whatever is needed. And from one who... knows what he wants....
[ Albedo smiled up, all charm and willingness. Violence lingered still in the air, and he wished to taste it. ]
Oh no I hope this is okay... /depressedcat.redeifyDecember 8 2011, 21:55:14 UTC
[ dai's eyes flicked between albedo's - one, then the other, searching each steadily as his small, white hand pressed against dai's abdomen. and as albedo permitted dai's indulgent and somewhat dubious charms, dai permitted that. the firm, forthright bodily contact, and the sweet words that spoke of a clear attraction.
it was natural for the conversation to come around this way, for two people who lusted for power to commiserate on a common need. and dai's smile, always there, warmed as he slid his hand around albedo's. the metal of his armour was comparatively cold. ]
... Flattering me, as always. But I can hardly complain.
I've been quite lucky. This world is very plain in what it needs - so much so, I wonder how I meet so much resistance from the other magisters. My way... my goals... should be the most clear path for anyone.
When you have power, you're no longer at the mercy of everything. And isn't that where our suffering comes from? This helplessness?
Well... Never mind that, now. Because.
[ he bent at the waist, slid his arm up to albedo's narrow shoulder, his long fingers stretching around to his back. his nose bumped albedo's, and his dark cheek brushed his skin as he moved to murmur against his ear. ]
Time's up.
[ he pulled back, just enough to suddenly drag that narrow shoulder forward instead, and press his mouth against the boy's. it was a split second of contact, given firmly, held for a moment or two before it was over - delivered like some parting gift. he didn't look at albedo's face when it was over, just down, that smile gone.
along with the rest of him, when everything fell away. ]

It's quite enticing, really.
