On Thursday, Macintosh went to the vet for his annual shots. The past few weeks I have noticed Macintosh vomiting more (sometimes more than once a day), so I brought this up with the vet - who brought me no comfort in telling me how abnormal this is. The vet gave Mac a pill, and told me to change his food. If he didn't get better in several weeks, I was supposed to bring Macintosh back in for blood work and x-rays. He said that the process of figuring out what was wrong with him could be an expensive one, and it could be something with his pancreas. Lovely.
Saturday night, Brent went to go pick up the dogs from my parent's house (we dropped them off before the football game). Apparently Chip tried to jump into my SUV even though my backseats were up, and this caused him to fall. From this point on he started limping around the house. That night he couldn't fall asleep and on Sunday his limp was even worse. Brent and I took him to the 24-hour pet hospital for x-rays. $294.75 later, find out that Chip didn't break anything. The doctor gave us some pain pills to give him though, and he does seem more comfortable now.
On a happy note, Macintosh hasn't thrown up since the vet gave him that medicine on Thursday.
