I know I'm posting this late, but it took forever to write...so bite me.
Saturday night everyone was supposed to go out for Julie's birthday in Westport. At noon, Julie called everything off because her fever hadn't gone away. Brent and I decided we still wanted to get together with everyone else, so we agreed on dinner at Blue Moose and then bowling.
After dinner we all went over to Cody and Sara's house for a beer before unlimited bowling at Mission Bowl, which didn't start until 10. We passed the time watching Tourette's Guy - the Bob Saget clip is definitely my favorite...."bitch! I love you" - Classic! We really developed our own lingo that night - Real Talk! We all piled into Sara's SUV because it seats 8 and went to the very crowded bowling alley that had lanes reserved for the rest of the night. We called some other places, and they were booked also.
We decided to do the high school things of "cruising around" until we figured out what to do. We ended up at Patty O's for some beers and terrible Karokee. At this point we started talking about Julie and how we should make her a get well soon present. Somehow the idea of a blow-up doll came into the picture and we decided we had to act on it.
We chugged our drinks and made it to the Priscilla's in Olathe with 10 minutes to spare, which the stupid bitch at the counter kept telling us. There were 2 male bow-up dolls with caught our attention and we asked what the difference was and she gave us some vague answers. We ended up buying the one that appeared to be more of a gag gift, which apparently lacked a shlong. That didn't stop us though - the guys went into Price Chopper and bought several things of Saran Wrap, which I used to make a penis for the doll. We got to her apartment and the guys had a blast Saran Wrapping the doll and penis to her car. Kelley, Sara and I watched from the car as they went nuts. On the way back home we were all just kept laughing. I haven't had that much fun in awhile.
Julie called me on Sunday cracking up about the car. Glad she found it almost as funny as we did. She said when we all go to Wild Wings on Thursday she is bringing the penis with her and it will be wearing clothes. I love it.
