Just a few minutes ago my sisters friend Sarah called me asking me "you know Johnny right?"
She explains to me that 4 friends of mine, including my friend Johnny went swimming at the Eno and then she goes...
"Well...johnny drowned."
I fuckin freezed.
She explained to me how she didnt know all the details and she wasnt sure if they just couldnt find his body or what.
She told me she was just trying to call people that knew him to let them know what happened. She said her sister and everyone who knew him were in tears.
I started ballin.
This is all the news is saying:
Authorities are at the west point area on the Eno River investigating a possible drowning. Dive teams are in the water. We're told a group of kids were swimming when one went under water and did not come back up. A Highway Patrol helicopter is being used to do an aerial search of the water.
(04/05/05 - DURHAM COUNTY) - Recovery teams are on the Eno River in Durham County searching for the victim of a drowning.
Authorities say a group of teenagers went swimming in the west point area of the river early Tuesday afternoon.
They all went into the water, but reportedly one 17-year-old swimmer did not resurface.
Dive teams started the search and just after 6 pm on official changed the rescue teams a recovery team.
I was close to johnny in 8th grade. He used to call me all the time and we had spanish class together and we always joked and talked and everything. The last time i saw him was about a month ago, he came to our school one day durning my lunch period.
I cant believe this is fucking happening.
Im trying to get a hold of becky to see what happened.
