Compounded misery on a useless weekend
Just when i though the weekend couldn't get any worse, along came the wonderful slip of paper i saw beneath the windscreen wiper of my car. A $30 parking ticket damnit! (which i made payment for at the AXS machine downstairs almost immediately upon reaching home).
I can choose to look at it in a few ways.
1. The long overdue meet up with reggie & run came came with a $30 price tag; now divide that by 3 years and that's only $10 a year of not meeting up.
2. Contributing to the mofo stagnating/plunging economy cos i'm sure there's like 10 other dudes (at least) like me tonight who, in their own ways made very noble contributions to the nation. Jaywalking, parking fines, speeding tickets and what nots. Yes we moove the economy don't we?
3. $30 which probably wouldnt last me 30 seconds in Zara is now translated into a life-long lesson, much like the $20 i paid 2 or 3 years ago for jaywalking across a zebra crossing no less. I will now check, no make that scrutinize every inch of those damn street signs for parking indications and fees before i park my car in a non-electronic lot. (I thought we lived in a modern world, why're we still grappling with coupon woes today damnit!)
All in all, what a lousy weekend. It'll prob get worse; and im not even halfway through the ex scorpion indv assignment.
