Scotland
My pretty home. I love being here. To me it's one of the most beautiful places in the world. One of my favourite places is a spot at the Highland Wildlife park. There is a hill in the park with a huge compass/sundail thing on it with the milage to places like Edinburgh and London. The reason I love being up there is the view - it's nothing short of incredible. I should have a video somewhere when I just stood and turned 360 and got the whole landscape. If I find it then I'll upload it for you to see.
Tattoos
I've got three of them so far - a phoenix on my left arm and a dragon with the chinese writing on my right arm - with plans to get at least another 6 more. Also, I love watching Miami Ink/LA Ink. If I could then I would love to get a tattoo from all of the artists because their work is amazing but that will have to wait. It's also where the name of my journal comes from. I was at a tattoo convention (it was where I got the chinese writing done) and as I was waiting, I had another look through one of the artist's books. It was a phrase he'd done on someone and it just stuck in my head. It's kinda become my motto now.
Waistcoats
I like wearing them. A lot. It's one of those things that seem so simple to look at but can change a look instantly. I've never really been one for following fashion - I go for what I know looks good on me rather than something that I've been told looks good by someone who just chose it because some designer did it. Waistcoats look good on me and they actually make me look like a girl rather than a blob because they draw me in. Plus they're comfy and versatile. Also it goes back to me pretty much wearing a suit to school in my senior years.
Torchwood
This is the fandom that brought us together (along with a fair old chunk of my f-list :D). This is the fandom that probably means the most to me (very, very closely followed by the Hollyoaks fandom). I've met some wondeful people because of it and I'm truly thankful for that. It's brought me some of the best days of my life, days I will never forget. For a show like this to exist is wonderful. I just hope the BBC PTB can see what we do and keep this show going as long as possible.
Badges
My 'cheap addiction'. Just about every bag I own has badges on it. There is a store I go to for them and I really do bulk buy them. Seriously. I was buying them 10-15 at a time. When SFX magazine had Torchwood and Doctor Who badges as gifts, I bought two copies of the same magazine just so I could have both. I even tried to pass my addiction onto my friends by putting a badge in with each of their Christmas presents one year. It didn't take. All the more for me then. I might need to get some more though - it's been a while since I got any new ones :)
