Little Rant Time

So I read article and I was in shock.

To think that people who are literally half the size of me and who are perfectly healthy are considering this procedure just for what seems like the sake of their own vanity. I just can't comprehend this at all.

The woman they interview for this just seems like someone I want to slap. She's tired of having to diet and exercise but she doesn't want to get fat so she wants to have this procedure done as a way of reassuring herself that she won't.

That is NOT what this procedure is for. It was designed for people who are morbidly obese and is only to be used as a last resort for weight-loss in order to save them from an early grave.

To think that this could ever be as common place as having liposuction honestly makes me despair. While I find it reassuring now that doctors are wholly against this happening in the UK, that doesn't rule out people going abroad nor does it rule out that possibility of people being able to do this in the future.

Drawing attention to it does raise a lot of concern for me as someone who is conscious about her weight and I do wonder how many people are going to agree with the woman in this article. then of course I do think about how long before some people decide to make their voices heard and suddenly decide that it's not fair for them to be denied this procedure and lobby to have their way.

I don't mean to be rude but these self obsessed, shallow, vain, stupid morons should go and see a shrink and not a surgeon!

Ok - maybe I do mean to be rude. But it's the only way to get my point across
