A1 left Friday night to be with his parents in Chicago. His dad is in the hospital. I miss him terribly but I also know he is being a tremendous support for his parents (his mum especially). It's nice to get to use FaceTime to talk to him, though. Thankfully, my sister was able to come stay with the boys since I really can't call off one of my weekend shifts (weekend option job is TOTALLY different than normal job. In exchange for a 60% differential, I basically am absolutely devoted to the hospital on the
Weekends. A call off can get you permanently booted from the differential...yes, even a family emergency, a bereavement leave and an FMLA taken for
Elective procedures).
