HUM 105 - INTERCULTURE COMMUNICATION
Interdisciplinary focus on the values, patterns, history, and attitudes that create and sustain cultures. Emphasis on skills and empathy in intercultural communication gained from the study of diverse cultures through literature, theory and guest lecturers.
HDC 103 - SELF-AWARENESS THROUGH CRITICAL THINKING, ETC.
This course is designed to start a reflective process that helps in the understanding of how cultural beliefs, attitudes and values effect the way we think. Students will examine their values and biases along with their personal impact across cultural, racial, ethnic, class and gender lines. Students will gain concrete critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary to effectively function in a multi-cultural world.
