I have a hypothetical question.

If someone does something that isn't terrible but is widely considered wrong, will it hurt or benefit that person if they confess?  Furthermore, are there cases in which breaking the rules is permissible?

[ This isn't the principal you fear, but the girl who has got a warrant out for your head. You punched her boyfriend, and thus fractured her own pride which encompasses their relationship and Rudy Miller.

There's also the simple fact of her being angry. Angry that someone touched a person she cares about. But Rudy never lied to you Justin-- he doesn't rat; this was all Mindy deducing the truth from obvious clues. This post is just the glue that sets it all.

She's around the corner from wherever Justin has situated himself, spying on him like a hawk with the discretion of a lion stalking its prey. ]

[Justin, having had his utter lack of worth reinforced by his latest exchange with Rudy, puts his laptop away and moves to leave. He turns the corner, paying no attention to Mindy. He doesn't even know her, really.]

[bullybreaker]

[ They don't intersect; they cross the hallway in opposite directions, in what would be an everyday scene. At the moment they pass each other, a small hand snaps out to grab Justin's upper arm, clenching hard. ]

Pendleton, right?

[He looks from her tiny hand to her face. She looks harmless, but most people don't use his last name unless he's in some kind of trouble. Justin replies with a good deal of hesitancy.]

Yes?

[bullybreaker]

[ She told Rudy that this wouldn't be a vendetta. This was her own personal payback, not because Rudy told her to do it, he should know. But right now she's not about words, jumping immediately to conflict as her other hand tightens and her fist launches forward into his face. ]

[absinthe_eyed]

[Justin is not one to react quickly. This has proved problematic in both dodge ball and school hallways. He isn't nearly quick enough to move.]

[ The fist slams directly into his nose, the impact probably resonating through all the bones of his face. At the very least, he'll have a bloody noise. Or he may even have a broken one with that impact. ]

[Oh--wow. How is that--she's so innocent-looking, and that hurts. Justin's hands immediately go to his face as, eyes watering, he slides to the ground... half to put himself below optimal punching-level, half to hide from the fact that this girl just decked him. Thoroughly.

Hopefully, very few people are watching.]
