[The network device, judging from the camera angle, is in the hands of a young boy who, with the innate technological skills that many young boys possess, has figured out how to make it work. If the stacks of books surrounding the boy are any indication, he is in the library and has been for some time.]
I need to talk to a librarian. [Almost as an afterthought, he adds:] Or my dad. Please. His name's Mr. Pendleton and he could be looking for me.
[Message delivered, the boy sets the device off to one side, puts on a pair of almost comically large glasses, and resumes staring at the book in front of him. The title isn't visible, but the text appears to be written in French. The boy studies the words with a scholarly interest, clearly unable to read them. Still, he seems to be getting something from the exercise.
After a few moments, it occurs to him to turn off the network device. He succeeds in cutting off the video feed.]
