There is such a thing as being "too honest"

Chris Dodd, former US senator and now CEO of the Motion Picture Ass. of America (MPAA) has perhaps been a little too forthright:
“Those who count on quote ‘Hollywood’ for support need to understand that this industry is watching very carefully who’s going to stand up for them when their job is at stake," Dodd told Fox News. "Don’t ask me to write a check for you when you think your job is at risk and then don’t pay any attention to me when my job is at stake.”
Net result: an online petition at the White House "We The People" website, calling for an investigation into bribery of US government officials by the MPAA, has easily surpassed the 25,000 signatures required for the White House to issue some sort of statement (26,853 last time I checked).
