Apparently so, after he tried to take shuriken (throwing stars) out of Japan. They were picked up in his carry-on baggage when he was about to return on his private jet, and airport security officials demanded he give them up. (What, he was going to hijack his own plane?)

Jobs did eventually give them up, vowing never to return to the country, which seems like a bit of an over-reaction to me.

I dunno, maybe he heard that Microsoft was going to send a hit squad after him?
