Recommend some music. Lots of music. Lists so long they could crash computers! Music of any kind, as long as you think it is worthy. Some fucking hardcore rocking awesome holocaust whirlwind meat grinding music. I am at a lack, and need to stop listening to The Cars. DUDE ( Read more... )

I thought you knew all the weirdo music! What's going on over there? Anyhoo, you'd probably like Sigh's "Imaginary Sonicscape" album. They mix black metal with reggae, synth pop, jazz, classical, etc. Their other albums are hard to find, since their old record label is run by assholes who won't turn over the master recordings (or so I've read).

Other recommendations:

Truman's Water - Godspeed the Punchline
Kovenant - S.E.T.I., Animatronic
Combustible Edison - This Impossible World
Entombed - Uprising
Cro-Mags - The Art of Quarrel/Best Wishes
Destruction - Release from Agony
Killing Joke - Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
Lost Highway soundtrack

Alright, you've likely heard a lot of this, but...

Antony And The Johnsons: Believe the hype.

Sparks: I'm willing to call them the most underrated band currently in existance. They have a huge, varied, brilliant and utterly hilarious back catalog to wander through and are still putting out astounding material. They also were involved in Moz's first foray into the public eye, when he wrote into a British music weekly as a teen raving about their latest album and complaining that it was getting no airplay.
Death From Above 1979: Fun and tight sex-rock from Toronto.

Malaria: German all-girl synth-punk. Brutal cabaret.

El-P's first solo record, "Fantastic Damage": You've probably heard about this if you've spent any time with any of those annoying undeground hip-hop kids (or "heads" as the local media insists on calling them). Great sick and stuttering production, and a too-many-polysyllabic-words-per-minute delivery.

Githead: New project from Wire's Colin Newman. Hell, the new Wire stuff is awesome, too.

The Prids: Solid new ( ... )

I've been listening to opera music lately. You don't want me to help out here.

I'll second usermr_blink's recommendations of The Prids and Antony and the Johnsons - i'll even third Antony. Love the faggotry!

eh. i don't know what to recommend. im in a void. just misfits and crass in my cd player.

oh oh OH! tesco, like a year ago put out a Factrix best of: ARTIFAKT how industrial!. uh. Mute just rereleased a slew of Virgin Prunes titles, all are quite lovely. Venetian Snares maybe? DOLL DOLL DOLL is fun.
Neubauten's Kalte Stern was a great comp. of old hardly released stuff.

i dunno.
