so yes, my last semester at ut is neigh. it feels more tangible than i thought it would, and somewhat poignant. as much as i rail against this university and my time here, i love all the good friends i've made and all the things i've done, good and bad.
i woke up at 8am this morning, quite proud of the accomplishment, seeing as how i didn't have class until 2 this afternoon. so i managed the haul down to my advisors office, which turned out to be mostly painless. my parlay with the advisor resulted in the following schedule (all minutes in decimal form for my convenience):
e 379s - senior seminar - an academic approach to youth and pop culture-w 1-2 mwf
e 341 - short story workshop-w tth 3.5-5
chi 506 - first year chinese mwf 2-3 tth 2-3.5
ped 103l - beginning ballroom dance-men t 6.5-9.5
i'm pretty happy with this. travis is in the workshop with me, so that should be entertaining if nothing else. the seminar certainly sounds promising, though the first class is tomorrow. the chinese should be easy since i can speak it already, and this class has an oral focus. this way i can prep for the lsat, find a job, get an "a" in my senior seminar, etc. all the things i should be doing but haven't started yet. or finally hear from the peace corps, which i'm starting to worry about.
