885!
I can't believe I've had this journal since October, 2003, and I've only written 885 entries. Oh my. For years, LJ was my primary journal; I wrote in it even more than my physical paper journal.
Now that I see my numbers are so abysmal, I have incentive to write more! I wonder how many of these 885 entries are exclusively about needing "to post more." Oh well. I think I've done pretty well, considering that since 2003, Myspace has come and gone, my nearness to an Internet connection has fluctuated, and Facebook hopped onto the scene. Do you remember when people wrote Facebook notes? And how they were a sick, pathetic, hard-to-archive substitute for Livejournal blogging? Yeah, me too.
Some constant people in my life since October, 2003:

Some people who started LJing with me, but who have since moved on to other things:

Goodbye old friends, hello new ones, and stick around all. I think I'm going to keep good 'ol LJ around for a while longer. It's a dusty, quiet corner of the Internet that's good for thinking and for thoughtful conversations with friends who also like thinking and thoughtful conversation. Why give that up?
